I invite anyone who has ever lived in or near Inkster, or anyone who takes an interest in this subject, to participate in a new blog: , where people from all over the world will share how living or growing up in a challenging environment has influenced their perspectives on a variety of issues. While I will continue to enjoy our brief chats on facebook, I ask you to please join us on this new online forum for more in-depth discussion.

There really is no other place on Earth with a story like Inkster’s. We occupy a unique and important place at the front line of the moments and events that shaped the history of America and the thinking of its citizens. The number and depth of experiences we have, both tough challenges and inspiring accomplishments, are far out of proportion to the city’s small size. It is because of this that residents of Inkster have a hard-earned wisdom and unique perspective on issues from politics to crime, from race to religion. While others theorize on these topics, we have dealt with them for decades, with great success in some areas, and honestly heartbreaking failure in others. If we Inktowners share that experience and perspective with the rest of the world, they and we can all learn so much. Society needs you to voice your opinions and tell your stories, good and bad. It takes both failures and triumphs to build wisdom, and the good people of Inkster have experienced both in the extreme. Please come share, agree, disagree, teach, and learn with us, at tea length dress that prom considered
